Munich, May 14, 2019 – Epson Europe Electronics GmbH ("Epson") announces the availability of the RX8804 DTCXO RTC with precise time keeping, higher accuracy over temperature and low power.

Designed for precision time keeping, Epson’s RX8804 uses Digitally Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (DTCXO) technology to achieve ±3.4 or ±8 ppm accuracy over temperature of -40 to +85 °C or -40 to +105 °C respectively, equivalent to 9 or 20 seconds per month. This high accuracy is essential for precise time keeping, as required by eMeters, lighting, and other industrial or outdoor applications.
Epson’s RX8804 includes a crystal, a digitally temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (DTCXO), and counters to keep track of time and date. Epson’s RX8804 also includes automatic battery backup and time-keeping functions such as alarms and timers. 
Epson’s RX8804 with a supply voltage of 1.6-5.5 V is low power 0.35 μA (typ) backup current, has a clock output of 1 Hz, 1024 Hz, or 32.768 kHz and is offered in a small package (3.2 x 2.5 x 1.0 mm³).

Epson’s RX8804 DTCXO Echtzeituhr-Module

Präzise Zeitmessung, höhere Genauigkeit über den Temperaturbereich und geringer Stromverbrauch

München, 14. Mai, 2019 – Epson Europe Electronics GmbH („Epson“) kündigt die Verfügbarkeit des Echtzeituhren-Moduls RX8804 an.

Entwickelt für eine präzise Zeitmessung, setzten Epson’s RX8804 DTCXO Echtzeituhr-Module (RTC) eine digital temperaturkompensierte Quarzoszillator (DTCXO) Technologie ein, um ±3,4 ppm Genauigkeit über einem Temperaturbereich von -40 bis +85 °C oder ±8 ppm bei -40 bis +105 °C (9 oder 20 Sekunden pro Monat) zu erreichen.

Diese hohe Genauigkeit ist für die präzise Zeitmessung notwendig, die bei eMetern, Beleuchtung und anderen industriellen oder Außenanwendungen gefordert wird.

Epson’s RX8804 kombiniert einen Quarz, einen digital temperaturkompensierte Quarzoszillator (DTCXO) und Zähler, um Datum und Uhrzeit aufzuzeichnen. Daneben enthält Epson’s RX8804 ebenfalls eine automatische Versorgungsspannungsumschaltung bei Ausfall der Primärversorgung und Zeitmessungsfunktionen wie Wecker und Timer. 
Epson’s RX8804 sind in einem 3,2 x 2,5 x 1,0 mm³ kleinen Gehäuse untergebracht und können in einem weiten Betriebsspannungsbereich von 1,6-5,5 V und einer typischen Stromaufnahme von 0,35 μA (im Backup-Modus) betrieben werden. Sie weisen einen Taktausgang auf, welcher für die Ausgabe von 1 Hz, 1024 Hz oder 32,768 kHz programmiert werden kann.
